Pop-up Bench Dogs with MFT Undermounts 3D print files.

Sale Price: £10.00 Original Price: £12.00

Take any workbench and add the versatility of bench dogs without having to swap out the hole caps for bench dogs and the need to store the dogs away somewhere.

These print files will give you a lot of different options but the main feature is that no matter the thickness of your workbench top you will be able to drill a hole, take the bench dogs you print, attach the pop up hardware (not supplied) and make a pop up, pop down bench dog for all your work holding needs.

The files are designed for 20mm dog holes.

There are a number of files for all of the different thicknesses of top you have.

If you plan to just make the dog and add in the hardware you will need 65mm of solid depth.

To make use of the under-mounts, you can have a workbench top thickness from 18mm all the way up to 43mm.

For in depth details of the uses and more see the video on my channel.

There is an under mounts holder for a standard 18mm mft top but I recommend the capped under mounts as these allow the cap to be unscrewed to deal with dust or if the dog itself gets jammed.

Simply screw the under mount under the work bench top and away you go. Quick note, I find it aligns best if you place the dog in the mount to align it to the hole then screw the mount into place.

The pop up hardware is adjustable with a few twists of the pop out part allowing you to have 7mm of adjustability.

There are the following 3D print files in the bundle.

File 1 - 18mm worktop thickness capped under mount

File 2 - 18mm worktop thickness solid under mount

File 3 - 23mm worktop thickness capped under mount

File 4 - 28mm worktop thickness capped under mount

File 5 - 33mm worktop thickness capped under mount

File 6 - 38mm worktop thickness capped under mount

File 7 - 43mm worktop thickness solid under mount (Capping was impossible due to the limited size of the under mount.

File 8 - Pop up Bench Dog blank with recess (this allows for some dust to collect)

File 9 - Pop up Bench Dog blank without recess (a little more solid but no dust allowance)

All files are designed to be printed in PLA or PETG as I have in the video.

I set 3 walls and 15% infill. Increase if needed for added strength.

If the cap is a little tricky to turn, check that there is no stray filament in the groove of the under mount or beneath the tabs on the cap.
